HIT Multimedia (zhang youyuan/text, xinran/photo) On January 7th, the donation ceremony for the Harbin Institute of Technology Education Development Foundation was held in Room 702 of the Main Building. Xiamen Hongfa Electroacoustic Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hongfa Co., Ltd.”) donated 4 million RMB to the foundation to support the development of HIT and establish the Hongfa Scholarship at the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation. HIT Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Foundation, Sun Xue, awarded representatives from Hongfa Co., Ltd. with a donation commemorative medal and certificate.
Chairman and President of Hongfa Co., Ltd., Guo Manjin, provided an overview of the company. He also expressed admiration for Harbin Institute of Technology’s rich educational history and robust scientific research capabilities. Guo expressed hope that their donation would facilitate scientific research and talent development at the institute, contributing to a collaborative effort towards a new era of industrialization.
Sun Xue conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Hongfa Co., Ltd. on behalf of HIT for its generous donation. She stated that HIT would utilize the funds effectively and expressed hope for the company’s continued engagement, support, and attention towards the school’s development and construction endeavors. Sun Xue emphasized the importance of fostering a mutually beneficial relationship, envisioning further contributions from the company towards serving economic and social development objectives and aiding the nation in achieving self-sufficiency and excellence in advanced science and technology.
