Good news | The project led by Professor Zhai Guofu of our institute won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award

The National Science and Technology Awards Conference, the Academicians’ Conference of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the 11th National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology were held in Beijing on the morning of the 8th. The 2025 National Science and Technology Awards were announced, and a total of 258 projects and 11 scientific and technological experts were selected. Among them, the project led by Professor Zhai Guofu of our college won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.  

Zhai Guofu is a Professor (Level II) at Harbin Institute of Technology; he serves as Leader of the Electromechanical Components Professional Group of the Pre-Research Expert Group on Electronic Components under national ministries and commissions, Chief Engineer of a national ministries and commissions pre-research special project, Director of the Key Laboratory of Reliability and Quality Consistency of Electronic Components under the Ministry of Education, Director of the Key Disciplines and Technology Research Center for High-Reliability Special Motors and Electrical Systems under national ministries and commissions, Director of the Public Service Platform for Industrial Technology Foundations under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Vice Chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the China Electronics Components Industry Association, Vice Chairman of the National Relay Standardization Technical Committee, and Vice Chairman of the System Reliability Professional Committee of the China Society for System Engineering. As the first person responsible for completion, he has received two Second Prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and five provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards. He has presided over more than 80 pre-research and major engineering projects sponsored by national ministries and commissions. He has published four monographs, formulated nine international, national, and aerospace standards, published more than 170 SCI-indexed papers, and been granted more than 220 invention patents.
