On March 26, Zhang Shijie, Deputy General Manager of Harbin Electric International Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Harbin Electric International”), and Yu Peng, Manager of the Strategic Development Department, visited the hospital for an exchange. The symposium was chaired by Dean Ye Xuerong and attended by Yu Guodong, Vice President; Liu Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and Xu Ying, Director of the Institute of Power Systems.
Zhang Shijie expressed gratitude to the college for its warm reception and spoke with genuine pride about the outstanding achievements made by his alma mater and the college in recent years. He remarked that this alumni homecoming exchange was exceptionally warm and expressed hope that, through this discussion, both sides would further build a bridge between academia and industry—deepening and elevating cooperation in technology R&D, talent cultivation, and internationalization—to jointly support China’s national energy strategy and regional economic and social development. Yu Peng systematically introduced Harbin Electric International’s current development strategy, business portfolio, and landmark projects.
Ye Xuerong, on behalf of the college, first extended a warm welcome to the alumni returning to their alma mater and provided a detailed overview of the college’s latest progress and landmark achievements in scientific research, talent cultivation, and internationalization. He emphasized that alumni are the college’s invaluable asset and its most authentic calling card. As a leading enterprise in China’s power equipment industry, Harbin Electric has long maintained a deep and fruitful cooperative foundation with the college across multiple domains. He expressed hope that, moving forward, strengthened collaboration with Harbin Electric International would focus on key technology R&D, joint talent training, internship base development, and internationalization initiatives—realizing resource sharing and complementary advantages.
