In order to deepen school–enterprise cooperation and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy sector, on April 17, Guo Wenqiang, General Manager of Inner Mongolia Guolong Energy Management Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guolong Energy”), and his delegation visited the hospital for investigation and discussion. Dean Ye Xuerong attended and presided over the symposium; Xu Ying, Director of the Institute of Power Systems; Yi Zhongkai, Deputy Director; and relevant faculty members attended the exchange meeting.
At the symposium, Guo Wenqiang introduced Guolong Energy’s development history, core businesses, industrial layout, and representative project cases. He noted that the School of Electrical Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology—recognized as a technical vanguard in the electric power industry—is a key driver of technological innovation within the sector. He expressed hope that both sides would deepen collaboration in areas including source-grid-load-storage regulation platform construction, electricity market transactions, and virtual power plant development; jointly explore pathways toward green and low-carbon energy transformation; and support regional economic development and new energy consumption.
Ye Xuerong systematically presented the School of Electrical Engineering’s history, scientific research achievements, and talent cultivation experience. He stated that Guolong Energy’s forward-looking initiatives in new energy development, integrated energy services, and industrial R&D align closely with the college’s development strategy. The School of Electrical Engineering will fully leverage its disciplinary expertise and research strengths to efficiently translate cutting-edge power system research outcomes into enterprise engineering practice—supporting Guolong Energy’s technological breakthroughs in new energy base construction, virtual power plant operation and control, and power market operation and trading—and jointly advance China’s national clean energy strategic goals.
At the meeting, faculty representatives from the college delivered presentations on related projects. Zhang Wei, Deputy General Manager of Guolong Energy, and Yan Suying, President of its Research Institute, participated in the discussion and exchange.
